The fifth Novel 'Catherine and a time for love'  was published in Great Britain 1968 by William Heineman Ltd.

English translation by Jocasta Goodwin. So far I could not find any information who created the dust jacket for this first edition.

translated into more than twenty languages

This book was supposed to be the last in the series and ended with an Epilogue. Yet due to the great success of the series, her Publisher and Readers begged Juliette to write more adventures about Catherine and Arnaud - and five years later, A trap for Catherine was published by Editions Trévise and ended five years later with La Dame de Montsalvy for which the English Readers had to wait over forty years ! see → here for more information.

In the above extract from an article 1972, the Romancière talks about the two upcoming sequels concerning the Catherine Saga which had ended in 1968 with Catherine and a Time for love - being the only Novel with an Epiloge! It was her aim to show her readers how life really was for women at the time of the 'Hundred Year War' !

... and I am delighted that I had been in contact June 2021, with Mrs. 'Simona d'Achille' who was so kind to confirm to me that indeed her late fathe,r the acclaimed Italian Artist Gino d'Achille had illustrated three of the Catherine Pan books :

ONE LOVE IS ENOUGH - CATHERINE - CATHERINE AND A TIME FOR LOVE

Simona d'Achille has confinded in me that her father had at times asked her mother and his children to pose for a painting. In this particular case it was for 'Catherine and a time for love'.  For this reason the fifth of the Catherine Pan books cover is her favourite and close to her heart. I admit that I am now looking at that particular cover with a tender smile. Simona d'Achille manages now his Archive and Studio Editions. Link to https://www.ginodachille.com/ website

Film Adaption in 1968 Catherine, Il suffit d'un amour

Director 'Bernard Borderie',

The same man who had already directed the Angélique films (after the books by Anne Golon). Juliette was extremely disappointed by the end product, because they had turned her story into a Political unrest, inspired by the '1968 Paris riots'! The original story was no longer recognisable! I can only agree with her. I have decided to create an extra page with photos and it is under construction. The movie had after all some international Stars which deserve to be mentioned - like Olga Georges-Picot, Claude Brasseur, Horst Frank and Francine Bergé.

Synopsis : Catherine : A Time for Love...

Catherine's destiny is to love Arnaud, the proud Lord of Montsalvy, in mediveal France. Once she believed him lost to her through the ravages of leprosy; now she suspects that the bonds which unite them have been torn even more surely by the lascivious caresses of an infidel Princess. Yet her one desire is to be near him again; to show him once more the strenght of her own passion.

Her quest for him takes her across harsch mountain wildernesses to the brilliant city of Burgos - where the cage of death swings from the cathedral parapets - and finally, to the famed city of Granada whose soft Eastern beauty is shattered by violence. The gates of the harem in the Caliph's palace close silently behind Catherine, and she must stand alone against the crazy jealousy of Princess Zobeida, to fight for Arnaud and...
