Gérard Chambre played Jean de Xaintrailles in the TV-Adaption of "Catherine, Il suffit d'un amour

It is written in "Belle Catherine" that when Jean de Xaintrailles learns of Catherine's pregnancy, he insisted that he become the Godfather of hers and Arnaud's child. It is never mentioned later on that this actually happened. But watching the tv-serie "Catherine, Il suffit d'amour" we can assume that he was. Little Michel had a great liking for his father's best friend. At the end of the last episode, Xaintrailles returns to Montsalvy, while the lord and lady of Montsalvy are having a great feast - to the surprise of Arnaud and Catherine. Bringing with him a very beautiful sword - going down on his knees and presenting it to the little lord of Montsalvy!
