• Paris
The city where heroine Catherine was born 1400 - her father and Michel de Montsalvy killed during the riots of Paris, in 1413 and his body thrown into to the river Seine.

Paris lost its position as seat of the French realm during occupation of the English-allied Burgundians during the Hundred Years' War and where Henry VI of England was famously crowned king of France in 1431., but regained its title when Charles VII of France reclaimed the city in 1436. Although Paris was capital once again, the Crown preferred to remain in the Loire Valley
The coat of arms of the city of Paris, in its current form, dates back to 1358, when King Charles V officially installed it. On the coat of arms, the represented vessel is the symbol of the powerful corporate body of the Marchands de l'eau, dating back to the Middle Ages. The city motto, "Fluctuat nec mergitur" ("It is beaten by the waves without being submerged") is equally a reference to this boat.

Paris is today one of the world's leading business and cultural centres, and its influence in politics, education, entertainment, media, fashion, science and the arts all contribute to its status as one of the world's major global cities.
